About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a small but dynamic team within the public sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters for a period of up to one year. The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, offering flexibility to suit the candidate's needs.


Key Responsibilities:


The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing timely and effective advice to public sector clients on employee relations matters.
  • Reviewing and drafting policies, procedures, and contracts.
  • Advising on equalities obligations and ensuring compliance.
  • Conducting and supporting employment tribunal cases.
  • Offering guidance on TUPE and addressing a broad range of other employment-related issues.


Ideal Candidate Profile:


Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented legal professional who can deliver high-quality advice in a public sector environment. The ideal candidate will possess:


  • Proven experience in managing a broad spectrum of employment issues, including both contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, with expertise in employee relations, equalities obligations, TUPE, and tribunal procedures.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the capability to provide clear, concise advice to public sector clients.
