Test Analyst – £350 per day via Umbrella – 4 months Contract – Sunderland (hybrid) SCC Flex contract

We are seeking for a Test Analyst for an initial 4-month contract to contribute to our client’s success by proactively identifying and mitigating issues that could potentially result in costs for the company and disruptions for stakeholders or the system and end users.

As a Test Analyst you will:

  • Create Test Cases and Exit Criteria based on Acceptance Criteria with test plans.
  • Manage test cases and reporting.
  • Prioritize tasks based on risk.
  • Proactively discover and identify edge cases, bugs, faults, and failures.
  • Conduct static testing.
  • Run user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Perform component, integration, regression, cross-browser, cross-device, and platform testing.
  • Provide feedback from an end-user perspective.
  • Be involved from the start of a software life cycle from planning and analysis stages through implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Conduct defect impact analysis.
  • Handle releases and communications to stakeholders.
  • Perform smoke testing.

As a successful Test Analyst you'll have:

  • Previous experience in testing, with the ability to effectively communicate, mitigate risks, and collaborate to deliver high-quality software.
  • Experience in identifying defects, maintaining quality standards, and helping manage and reduce project risks.
  • Familiarity with agile processes is highly desirable.
  • A comprehensive understanding of software systems, particularly from the perspective of the end user, to ensure effective and user-friendly software solutions are delivered.
