Job Summary:

The Systems Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and writing system-level requirements for automotive applications. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive systems, J1939 protocol, and a strong background in electrical and electronics engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating detailed system requirements and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of automotive systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Requirements Development:
  • Develop and write detailed system-level requirements for automotive applications.
  • Ensure requirements are comprehensive, clear, and aligned with industry standards and best practices.
  1. Automotive Systems Engineering:
  • Apply expertise in automotive systems to design and develop advanced software solutions.
  • Utilize knowledge of the J1939 protocol to ensure effective communication and integration within automotive networks.
  1. Electrical and Electronics Engineering:
  • Leverage a strong background in electrical and electronics engineering to support system design and development.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and electronic components.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers, to achieve project objectives.
  • Participate in design reviews, testing, and validation processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  1. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in automotive systems and software.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.


Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Technical Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering and software development.
  • Strong understanding of the J1939 protocol and its application in automotive networks.
  • Proficiency in developing and writing system-level requirements.
  • Background in electrical and electronics engineering, with experience in automotive applications.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively during the design and development phases.
  • Organizational and Multi-Tasking Abilities:
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in automotive systems engineering or software development are a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and writing system-level requirements for automotive applications.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in automotive systems and software development.
