Our client is a leading global media and events organisation, renowned for delivering world-class experiences. As the company continues to expand its reach, they are looking to add a talented and motivated Paralegal to their legal team.


About the Role

The Paralegal will play a crucial role within the legal department, providing support on a range of legal matters, with a strong focus on commercial contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who is looking to develop their legal career within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Drafting and Reviewing Contracts: Assist in the preparation, review, and amendment of commercial contracts, including agreements related to events, media, and licensing.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research on various matters, including intellectual property, data protection, and contract law.
  • Document Management: Maintain and organize legal files and documents, ensuring all records are up to date and easily accessible.
  • Compliance Support: Assist the legal team in ensuring the company's compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Liaison: Act as a point of contact between the legal department and other internal teams, as well as external parties, including clients and vendors.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling meetings, preparing legal correspondence, and managing legal databases.


Qualifications

A 2:1 level degree is required, ideally in Law (LLB).


Required Skills

  • Prior experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, particularly with a focus on commercial contracts, is highly desirable.
  • Strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
