Geospatial Engineer | GIS | Inside IR35 | 6 Months | Hybrid Work Arrangement

Location: London (Hybrid work arrangement)

Rate: £450 - £500/day

The Cross-Product Performance Analytics Team at the Home Office's Migration, Borders, and Technology Portfolio is seeking an experienced and innovative Geospatial Engineer. As part of this 6-month contract, you'll play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing geospatial solutions using ArcGIS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Geospatial Solution Design:

    • Lead the design and implementation of geospatial solutions using ArcGIS.
    • Develop spatial models, perform geospatial analysis, and create custom maps and visualizations.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Data Integration and Analysis:

    • Work with geospatial data from various sources (satellite imagery, GPS, etc.).
    • Data Lake experience
    • Implement ETL processes to integrate geospatial data into the system.
    • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • GIS Infrastructure:

    • Configure and maintain ArcGIS infrastructure, including servers and databases.
    • Optimize performance for spatial queries and map rendering.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders.
    • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in geospatial engineering, including working with ArcGIS.
  • Strong understanding of spatial analysis, cartography, and geospatial data management.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration.
  • Excellent communication skills.
