The Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the Enterprise Transformation Programme and other strategic initiatives, providing crucial data-driven insights that inform decision-making and process optimisation. The Data Analyst will collect, analyse, and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights that support both sector-specific needs and broader enterprise objectives.

This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work with large data sets, and experience in presenting clear, data-driven recommendations to stakeholders across various levels of the organisation. The Data Analyst will play a key role in shaping the data strategy and supporting transformation efforts across the business.


Key Responsibilities:


Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Gather, clean, and analyse data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity throughout.
  • Perform in-depth analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that drive transformation efforts and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations, providing real-time insights to the Enterprise Change Team and senior leadership.

Insight Generation:

  • Convert complex data into actionable insights that support decision-making across the organisation.
  • Present findings clearly and effectively, ensuring that both technical and non-technical stakeholders can easily grasp and apply insights.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Data and Insights to align analytics with the broader data strategy and transformation objectives.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Ensure that data analytics efforts are aligned with ongoing process optimisation and transformation initiatives.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure analytics outputs meet both sector-specific and enterprise-wide goals.
  • Support project teams and senior leadership with ad-hoc analysis requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.

Process Maturity and Optimisation:

  • Assist the Head of Process Development in leveraging data to enhance process maturity, ensuring all changes are data-driven and measurable.
  • Collaborate with the transformation team to incorporate data insights into process improvement efforts, promoting a comprehensive approach to optimisation.

Data Governance and Best Practices:

  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices, working closely with the Director of Data and Insights to safeguard data integrity and security.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to refine data collection and analysis methods, contributing to the development of a strong data analytics function within the transformation programme.


Skills and Qualifications:


Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a data analyst, with a proven ability to deliver actionable insights in a large-scale business setting.
  • Experience handling complex data sets, with a strong understanding of data management, governance, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting transformation initiatives or large-scale projects through data analysis and reporting.

Skills:

  • Expertise in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau), with a focus on data visualisation and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into insights that drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of data governance and data integrity principles, ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
