Truenorth Capital Advisors is a boutique advisory and fund management firm based in London and Hertfordshire in the Southeast of England. The firm serves the financial interests of a unique set of private investors with a high net worth and ultra-high net worth profile, corporates, family offices, and institutions. Truenorth's mode of operation is different from traditional hedge funds and mutual funds in the industry. So we are in search of a unique analyst who has a personality that matches the skill sets.


Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Quantitative Equity Analyst at Truenorth Capital Advisors. The Quantitative Equity Analyst will be responsible for conducting fundamental and quantitative analysis of global, publicly traded companies as well as other research as assigned. We lean towards valuation competence as well as having a flair for financial modelling. We value independent-thinking analysts who are contrarian at heart. The role is located in London with some flexibility for remote work.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. We will consider analysts who have a non-linear finance background with experience in either public or private markets. We have an eye for spotting quality analysts regardless of their background.
  • Experience in quantitative equity research, preferably in a hedge fund or asset management environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and quantitative model creation.
  • Experience using data analysis tools and platforms such as Python, R, Bloomberg, S&P, Factset, or comparable platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work alone or in a team environment.
  • Experience in conducting quantitative business valuations is a requisite. We like bottom-up fundamentals-driven quants, who have a flair for integrating top-down macro's into their analysis.
