KEY SKILLS:

THE ROLE:

The Database Administrator, reporting to the Data Manager, will support and maintain databases within the company, assist in developing in-house application upgrades, and troubleshoot database and application issues. Key responsibilities include daily database administration, collaborating with development teams on solutions, maintaining database documentation, staying updated on industry trends, assisting with data warehouse design and changes, enhancing in-house and third-party applications, participating in business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and attending relevant courses and seminars.




THE CANDIDATE:

Essential skills include proven experience as an Oracle DBA, knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, and excellent PL/SQL skills. The ideal candidate can proactively identify potential database problems and interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, experience in highly regulated sectors such as insurance or banking, and familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (ADB/DBCS) are required. We are looking for a flexible individual with a strong work ethic who is willing to go above and beyond to complete tasks.


Desirable skills include SQL Server administration, ITIL4, and Oracle Data Safe experience.
