As our Head of SEO, you'll be a success if...

  • You're a passionate leader who goes beyond execution to craft and champion a comprehensive SEO strategy across all our sites, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • You have a deep technical understanding of website architecture, crawl budget optimization, schema implementation, and have the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex technical SEO issues.
  • You leverage SEO data to test, learn and prioritise work streams, identify scalable content and technical opportunities, and implement data-driven content automation strategies for maximum impact.
  • You lead the development and execution of international SEO strategies, with a focus on major markets like the UK, US, and Europe. You understand the nuances of international search and can tailor strategies accordingly.
  • You collaborate with ecommerce product, buying, and trading teams to translate SEO insights into actionable product acquisition strategies, influencing data-driven buying and product tagging decisions.
  • You can confidently take the lead and assist with complex website and platform migrations, ensuring no disruption to organic performance.
  • You effectively plan and delegate tasks, provide clear direction, and develop your SEO team by fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • You provide guidance and collaborate with external copywriters and freelancers to ensure SEO-optimized content creation across various verticals.

  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush and other SEO and analytics tools.

  • Prior SEO success in an ecommerce business or with ecommerce clients.
  • Knowledge of international SEO.
  • Experience with ecommerce PIM/CMS systems such as Shopify, Magento or Shopline, and CMS Content Platforms such as WordPress or Prismic.
  • Experience working directly with developers to communicate requirements for technical SEO components.
  • Experience in executing successful link-building and/or SEO campaigns.
  • An understanding of other organic sales channels like Google Merchant Centre, Amazon, eBay, Etsy and more.
  • Ability to write or speak another language is a bonus.
