Our client, is a $5billion global EPCI focused on the delivery of transmission, distribution and offshore generation, is looking for a Senior Project Manager to deliver the cable package of 3GW+ offshore project.


From a context perspective this role will be working within a newly formed European HQ and PMO. Previously our client had been focused on the Middle East, North American and South East Asia, and 5 years ago they had a turnover of £100m in Europe. Today that has increased to over 2billion USD.


This role would suit someone who wants to grow with the business, and is interested in developing, improving and developing their career.


Responsibilities


  • Lead and build out the project team fostering cross-functional collaboration, definition of the project execution approach and supervision of the project handover
  • Takeover implementation planning as well as monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to achieve all project goals.
  • Oversee project implementation to identify best practices in cost control, resource efficiency, risk management and HSE.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effective communication with all stakeholders and central point of contact for the customer as escalation point for project issues.
  • Monitoring and control of project financial data.


Qualifications


  • At least 8 years of experience of project management or equivalent managing large infrastructure projects
  • Experience and the ability to efficiently manage a team within a matrix organization.
  • Experience with project goals, costs, plans and suppliers / subcontractors.
  • Experience in project execution, with strong communication skills, problem-solving, negotiation and coaching skills.
  • Established contractual understandings.
  • High level of commitment, flexibility & teamwork as well as goal and customer orientation
  • PMP, IPMA or other project management certificates are of advantage.
  • Good knowledge of MS Project and MS Office.
  • Availability for international travel.
