Why This Role Matters:
As part of our Operational Leadership Team, you will be pivotal in managing a group of nurseries across London. Your focus will be on maintaining outstanding standards of safety, care, and education, driving our growth, and upholding our unwavering commitment to quality, compliance, and financial stability.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supervising Operations: Overseeing the management of several nurseries within the London area.
- Leadership: Guiding and supporting nursery managers and their teams.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, achieving financial goals, and maintaining quality benchmarks.
- Championing Excellence: Promoting top-tier early childhood education and prioritizing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Operational Management: Lead and manage nurseries to ensure quality care and financial viability.
- Quality Excellence: Maintain high standards, secure "Ofsted – Good" or higher ratings, and drive continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure full compliance with policies and uphold high safety standards.
- People Management: Foster a culture that values people, support staff development, and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Financial Management: Oversee financial performance, maximize revenue, and control expenses.
How You'll Succeed – What Success Looks Like:
- Teams of well-supported, skilled staff with low turnover.
- Nurseries performing at high levels with "Good" or better Ofsted ratings.
- Full compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Nurseries that are clean, high-quality, and offer inspiring learning environments.
- Meeting or exceeding targets for occupancy rates and cost efficiency.
What It Takes:
- Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Children and Education (Degree in Early Childcare preferred).
- Extensive senior management experience in a multi-setting childcare context.
- Proven ability in staff leadership, service planning, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Strong commercial awareness and exceptional leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant industry software.
