Junior Data modeler

Insight Global are looking to hire a 'Junior Data Modeller' for a leading credit rating company. This role will be joining a logic and data modelling transformation project as part of the "data solutions" team. Individuals should have proven experience leveraging data modelling tools with the ability to suggest best practices for each particular tool in a certain environment. This project is tasked with delivering a harmonised solution to the transformation of how their data is onboarded and managed via a data model tool instead of legacy systems. This will enhance the communication between internal & external stakeholders surrounding this process and the data governance.

This role will be heavily tasked with influencing the selection of a new data modelling tool as well as advising the department on best practices with logic & data modelling tools and should have excellent internal stakeholder management.

This position is a 6-month contract, fully remote collaborating with teams based in Brussels.

Responsibilities:

This role reports directly into the Project lead and will be assisted by a Senior data modeller to cover the day-to-day responsibilities:

• Facilitating stakeholder meetings for documentation and gathering of requirements from SMEs and Engineering Teams

• Producing sales enablement material

• Advising on selection of most suitable data model tool for the department and then assisting with the migration of the excel model data to the new tool.

• Setting up frameworks for data modelling governance

• Enriching and helping to manage the reference table tool which is handled and managed inter-pipeline.


Must Haves:

• 2-3 years' experience with multiple data modelling tools to an industry standard (Erwin, Hackolade, SQL database modeller or equivalent)

• Ability to formulate documentation and materials for engineering and business stakeholders with strong PowerPoint skills.


Plusses:


• Experience with Collibra managing the inventory of data assets, capturing metadata and governing these assets.

• Experience with SQL or noSQL database to understand the link between conceptual data layers to the physical layers that are soon to be implemented which the technology department are tasked with.

Experienced dealing with financial modelling/ financial data background.
