Key Technical Skills it seems this role is more like a technical BA role or architect - translating high level architectural diagrams into API specifications

Role Spec

Responsible for owning the strategy, plan and implementation for documenting and communicating a new set of (Restful/GraphQL) APIs for a data repository. This work will including working with API consumers to understand their needs, building a useful documentation set of documentation, and feeding back observations and potential changes back to the development teams (both functional and non-functional)

As the Tech Author you will to have the following skills:

1. Experience of technical writing

2. Experience of creating easily maintainable API documentation (e.g. using automation)

3. Stakeholder management skills to understand needs and to be able to address these in the products you create/maintain

4. Technical/programming skills to understand, work with, and produce examples of the APIs and how best to use them

5. Ability to form relationships with Developers to gather knowledge and to influence future plans
