  • Role: Litigation Solicitor
  • Hours: 35 per week
  • Salary: Negotiable, dependent on PQE


We are currently looking for an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join our expanding Litigation team. Working in a small but expanding team, and reporting to the Head of Department, you will be responsible for providing advice and assistance to a range of clients. This role is office based in the Portsmouth area, with the option for a Hybrid working arrangement.


Role Responsibilities

As a Litigation Solicitor you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing your own diverse caseload. You will provide sound, professional advice to clients in respect to all aspects of general civil litigation/dispute resolution cases to include but not limited to:


  • Landlord and tenant work; both residential and commercial
  • General contract and consumer litigation
  • Boundary and neighbour disputes


Job Requirements

Our ideal candidate will be someone with proven experience who takes a professional, client-first approach to each case they run. They will have sound knowledge and expertise in the field, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate in a friendly, professional and confidential manner. The role will suit those with a positive and flexible approach and an ability to remain calm under pressure in order to project the image and ethos of the firm at all times.


Whilst character is important to us we do require a certain level of experience and qualification to succeed in this role. These are:


  • Must hold qualified solicitor status in England and Wales or be a qualified Legal Executive.
  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience dealing with litigation matters.

Please be aware all roles require the right to work in the United Kingdom, sponsorship of such right will not be provided. The successful candidate will also require a satisfactory DBS check.
