About the role

We are looking for a Recruitment Business Partner to join our team on a 15 month fixed term contract, based at our office in Shiremoor, Newcastle upon Tyne. Here at Northern Powergrid we work an agile working model, with 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home.

As a Recruitment Business Partner, you will play a critical role in managing the full recruitment process across the dedicated directorate. You will partner with the hiring stakeholders to help attract and recruit top performing candidates to Northern Powergrid, while providing a first-class candidate experience.

What you’d be doing

  • You will partner with directorates, to understand their talent needs and develop pipeline of qualified candidates, through various channels, including Linked In and Indeed.
  • Provide on-site support, partnering with stakeholders, to build relationships, for you understand recruitment challenges and ensuring recruitment requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement direct hire recruitment campaigns and sourcing strategies and identify new talent sources.
  • Manage full recruitment lifecycle including offer management, providing first class candidate experience.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, messaging and tracking metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
  • You will support the Head of Resourcing with recruitment and resourcing projects, that sits within the recruitment and business plan.
  • You will work closely with the Onboarding Coordinator, to ensure smooth transition for the candidate transitioning to Future Employee


What you’d bring

About you

  • Experience in technical recruitment / talent acquisition, with demonstrated experience in managing recruitment lifecycles and working knowledge of recruitment delivery
  • Proven experience in building relationships with stakeholders and acting as a strategic business partner
  • Results driven mindset, with the ability to lead and influence.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience of being a proactive recruiter – mapping and talent intelligence

Desirable

  • Previous experience within an In-house Recruitment Team or RPO
  • Knowledge of recruiting in a regulatory industry
