Head of Engagement and Development
The Head of Engagement and Development is a new role and will focus on leadership development, engagement strategies and delivering change. This role is all about creating a robust learning and development framework to support our colleagues to succeed at work.
It will also focus on developing agile engagement tools which align to our culture and values so we can obtain regular colleague feedback to help us to respond and continually improve to create a great place to work where colleagues want to stay and build their careers.
The role will also ensure that change is introduced and managed to create lasting impact.
Key Accountabilities
- Working with the Director of People and Development and the business partnering team responsible for creating a development and engagement strategy with a focus on modern and agile techniques.
- Development of a leadership development Programme for all leaders of the business focusing on behavioral change and leader as coach.
- Supporting the delivery of change initiatives within the People team ensuring change is delivered effectively to create lasting impact.
- Identify and measure employee engagement, starting from a base of nothing.
- Develop and commission tools and initiatives to measure, understand and improve colleague experience and manage learning (LMS system)
- Overall responsibility for ensuring that training competence is effectively managed.
- Responsible for the leadership and development of a small team
Relevant Experience:
- This role is a strategic role, and the successful candidate should have experience of commissioning products, tools and services within a development or engagement background.
- Ability to challenge the status quo to find the right and lasting outcome.
- Worked within an outcomes-based approach.
- Experience of change management
- High organized and innovative.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience of using evidence-based practice to share insight, demonstrate value and influence change.
- Tech/digital savvy re tools and strong user of MS office
