My mid-sized pharmaceutical client is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to head up a small team of analysts and assistants.


Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and oversee the creation of annual budgets, forecasts, and comprehensive financial plans.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analyses to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance against established budgets and forecasts.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and reviews.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity to maintain the company’s financial stability.
  • Manage working capital, including overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory.

Accounting and Compliance:

  • Supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, payroll processing, and expense reimbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
  • Implement and uphold internal controls to protect company assets.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CA, or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 6-9 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of local GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in SAP / SAP HANA and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
