Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Concept Artist at Platinum Films. The Concept Artist will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D digital concept art and turnarounds for 3D animation projects. The role is primarily located in Iver, with flexibility for some remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in the creation of detailed design packs and visual references to be used by 3D modelers and animators.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a creative team and take feedback constructively.
• Adapt and refine designs based on feedback and team discussions.

Requirements

• Proficient in industry-standard design software, such as Photoshop.
• Expertise in concept art, character, prop and environment design, and visual storytelling.
• Be able to understand how 2D artwork will translate within a 3D space.
• Strong understanding of fundamentals – eg, anatomy, colour theory, composition.
• Have excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a creative team and take feedback constructively.

Nice to Have

• Experience as a 2D artist in animation, games, film, or a related field.
• Familiarity with the 3D animation production process and an understanding of how 2D assets contribute to 3D workflows.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling software (e.g., Maya, Blender, ZBrush).
