A fantastic new contract opportunity for an experienced/Senior Solution Architect to join a dynamic and fast-growing energy company for the duration of six months.


The role will be based out of their Bristol office and you will be required to work two days in the office and three days working from home per week.


The main aim of the role is the development and ongoing maintenance and the support of architectural solutions within in infrastructure, hardware and hosting service and network areas.


You will be evaluating and selecting software components and related hardware and infrastructure requirements of its data and development of the applications. Supporting the process, development methods and best practices.


The Solution Architect is responsible for application non-functional aspects of usability, accessibility, security, quality, scalability, integrity and performance.




Skills/experience and attributes:


  • Degree educated
  • Minimum of five years’ experience working as a Solution Architect
  • Solid in-depth technical experience in managing, developing and upgrading applications
  • Experience in Active Directory and a range of application development languages
  • Experience of working with external 3rd party product providers
  • Experience in cloud, preferably Azure
  • Experience of end-to-end applications solutions architecture/design methods and patterns
  • Experience in database technologies, preferably SQL and Oracle
  • Experience in Windows, virtualised hardware and VM environments
  • Experience working with ITIL
  • Experienced in process analysis, configuration management and service catalogues
  • Outstanding communication skills and customer service experience
  • Experience with Agile Delivery lifecycle
  • Strong problem solver and good stakeholder management. Have the ability to work with people at all levels
  • Mentoring IT staff and sharing ideas
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise and respond to urgent queries
  • Good sense of judgement
  • Collaborative team player that has the ability to manage project and application teams
