Paying up to £37,000 working days with overtime at premium, and a company van, this is the perfect role for someone mechanically minded with the hands-on skills looking for a career with an established company.

Requirements as a Maintenance Fitter:

  • Responding to plant breakdowns - ensuring assets are returned to production in a timely manner, and temporary fixes are followed up with a permanent solution
  • Undertaking emergency breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient way on all production equipment
  • Liaison in preventative maintenance planning and execution planned shutdowns
  • Maintaining and promoting Health & Safety rules and regulations, following all company processes and procedures.


Qualifications and Experience needed as a Maintenance Fitter:

  • A good amount of suitable working experience is more important than qualifications
  • Have a strong, practical mechanical systems background, heavy industry preferred - conveyors, drive systems, belts, bearings, shafts, pulleys etc.
  • Possess a fault-finding mindset to identify defects and recommend appropriate action
  • Possess the ability to remove and fit bearings
  • Adheres to site-specific SHE procedures and Safe Working Practices.
