Global Head of Regulatory Affairs


Blackfield Associates are pleased to be partnered with an international presence in the ag chemical industry, who due to growth and strategic vision, have an opportunity for a Head of Regulatory Affairs to lead their Global strategy from the UK Hub.


So if you are an experienced Regulatory professional, with cross-functional scientific and regulatory leadership, able development and commercialise innovative solutions in crop protection sector, we have the opportunity for you


As Global Head of Regulatory, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a Regulatory and product teams to build a highly informed unit, aligned with business priorities, global regulatory trends, and scientific developments.
  • Oversight and Lead the development and protection of regulatory databases and information to support and defend a robust portfolio and pipeline globally.
  • Working in cross-functional collaboration with R&D and Formulations teams to identify, develop, and implement strategy for product advancement. Work closely with supply, quality, and manufacturing teams to evaluate supply needs and strategize for changes in product supply and quality.
  • Point of Contact with regulatory authorities, directly or through representatives, to communicate and advocate for technical attributes of the company's products and support asset team regulatory strategies. Collaborate with Business Development for new product selection and Development for product advancement.
  • Budget and people development responsibility, ensuring careful succession planning and resource availability for workload. Educate internal stakeholders and occasionally external stakeholders on regulatory processes to increase understanding of compliance and environmental safety.

Required Experience and Knowledge, to be considered for Global Head of Regulatory:

  • Educated to degree level in relevant scientific field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in regulatory affairs with a strong focus on global strategy and multi-year planning within the agrochemical / pesticide or crop treatment industry
  • Previously held visible positions of leadership in regulatory affairs, ideally within an international business
  • Extensive, demonstrable knowledge in crop treatment solutions and its regulatory requirements


This is a permanent position, located at our clients UK office located near St. Albans. Office presence will be required.
