Role Description

This is a full-time office based role as a Connections Coordinator at Platinum Street Lighting Solutions in Alfreton.


We are seeking a candidate that has great organisational skills with an understanding of the connection process in unmetered DNO/IDNO LV Street Lighting connections.


As a Connections Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to deal with all administrative aspects of the grid connection process, for National grid, Northern Power Grid and ENW for highway lighting connections.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Collaborate with clients, and Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), to secure grid connection agreements, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.


Evaluate and assess grid connection options and apply for connection authorisations.


Submit completed service works orders to Network Operators.


Work closely with project supervisors, Jointers, and other team members to seamlessly integrate grid connection activities within project timelines.


Monitor and track connection progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders, allowing for transparency.


Stay up to date with industry regulations, standards, and best practices, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and ensuring compliance in all aspects of the work.


Produce connection programmes and manage activities in line with the construction programme.


Attend project progress meetings and undertake inspections and audits of site works to ensure quality and progress.


Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, strategically planning and managing projects, conducting risk assessments, and implementing safety audits.


Efficiently manage internal and external resources to meet project goals.


Build and maintain strong relationships with our clients and supply chain partners, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.

Computer Skills:

You are proficient in administering basic Microsoft Office programs, ensuring efficient workflow management.

Literacy and Numeracy: Your excellent written communication skills enable you to produce clear and concise documentation. You maintain accuracy when processing data, ensuring high-quality work.


Qualifications and Experience:

Full valid UK Driving Licence – Essential

Have experience with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Adobe


Salary: £24.500,00 to £29,000
