Hybrid Working - London Base

£600-680/day (Inside IR35)


We are partnered with a Financial Services Boutique Consultancy who are adding to their delivery team working on a finance transformation programme of work.


A global brokerage firm has implemented a new front office risk management system. The integration into the general ledger is underway, and the Product Control team require a Finance Product Control business analyst to drive forward the completion of the implementation.


The role is 80% business analysis and 20% project management, as there is co-ordination and planning required to move forward. The role will involve co-ordination amongst the SME product control team to ensure that Finance's business requirements are clearly understood and documented.


There will be a interlock with the business analysts from group Technology, to ensure that the business requirements are correctly understood, interpreted and implemented. There will be some UAT required.


This role will suit a product control change person who has experience in structured products, that can get hands on and drive the implementation forward pragmatically and effectively.


Must have:

  • 6 -10 years experience in product control change, covering a structured product business (either in banking or brokerage)
  • Experience in developing and co-ordinating business requirements for incorporating upstream trading and risk management systems into the general ledger, regulatory reporting systems, P&L systems etc.
  • Must have an awareness of how the accounting treatment of these products in order be able to develop the business requirements from a Finance perspective. must have familiarity with derivatives and structured notes. NOTE: does not need to be a technical accounting expert.
  • Must have knowledge of business analysis best practice, and experience utilising that
  • Must be able to co-ordinate and collaborate with Product Control and Finance staff to efficiently extract SME inputs
  • Must be able do be comfortable doing. This is a sleeves rolled up role
  • Excellent written and verbal communications is a must
