Financial Software Engineer – Financial Trading | St Albans (Hybrid) | £100,000 + Bonus


We are partnering with a highly respected leader in the sports and financial spread betting industry to recruit a talented Financial Software Engineer. With over 25 years of success, our client is seeking an experienced engineer to join their financial development team, offering a chance to work on cutting-edge solutions outside the constraints of traditional finance environments.


This role is perfect for a seasoned Software Engineer eager to make a tangible impact in a dynamic and innovative setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Development: Build and maintain a high-performance financial trading system for mobile and desktop platforms.
  • Full-Stack Engineering: Contribute across the stack using .NET and Angular.
  • Ownership: Lead projects with significant autonomy, driving results and innovation.
  • Mentorship: Support and guide junior engineers within the team.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 4+ years as a Software Engineer with strong proficiency in C#/.NET.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in multithreading, asynchronous programming, and SOLID design principles.
  • Bonus Skills:
  • Familiarity with the FIX Protocol.
  • Experience with a modern JavaScript framework.
