Head of Digital Transformation - eCommerce re-platforming programme


Are you a seasoned digital leader with a proven track record in eCommerce re-platforming and agile methodologies? We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Digital Transformation to join our client's dynamic team and lead a critical digital re-platforming programme. This role is pivotal in transforming this client's eCommerce sites and driving their digital future.


As the Head of Digital Transformation, you will:


- Lead and own the digital re-platforming programme for this client's eCommerce sites

- Provide comprehensive leadership and dedication to the transformation journey, ensuring successful delivery and performance improvement.

- Utilize your deep understanding of modern technology and agile methodologies to steer our team and processes effectively.

- Collaborate closely and manage Product Delivery Leads and indirectly manage a team of 50-60 professionals across various product areas.

- Navigate the challenges of transitioning a relatively new organisation to a product-based, agile-driven setup.

- Bring your extensive experience from large-scale eCommerce projects to enhance this client's re-platforming efforts, ensuring we meet and exceed our goals.


Key Responsibilities:


- Oversee the delivery of the digital transformation, addressing velocity, KPIs, metrics, feature prioritization, and more.

- Implement and refine agile practices, ensuring the team is equipped to meet the demands of the re-platforming programme.

- Lead by example, identifying issues proactively and driving solutions with a hands-on approach.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and innovation within the team.


What We're Looking For:


- A technical background/ experience managing engineering teams with proven experience in re-platforming or building eCommerce sites for large/ global organisations

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams through complex transformations.

- Expertise in agile methodologies, including measuring velocity and managing agile teams.

- Familiarity with Commercetools and microservices architecture is a plus.

- A track record of successful digital transformation projects, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate challenges.
