The Accounts Supervisor role

The responsibilities for this role will include:

  • managing the full cycle of the Subcontract Ledger including order,payment and CIS compliance processes;
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, resolving queries and delivering best in class customer service
  • Twice weekly payment runs for all Subcontractor Payment Certificates;
  • Assist in cash management by ensuring adherence to payment process and cycles with Subcontractors and sites;
  • Calculation and payment of CIS Tax to HMRC each month;
  • Administration of Subcontractor accounts within the finance systems;
  • Other ad hoc projects as required assisting Finance and other departments.

Your profile

You will be a team player who can work closely with your peers. You will have a high level of numeracy, excellent attention to detail, and strong time management and problem-solving skills. Ideally, you will have experience working in an office environment, possess good Excel and Word skills, and be educated to a minimum level of GCSE or equivalent, with passes in Mathematics and English.

  • Educated to a minimum GCSE standard, including Maths (essential)
  • AAT or further education (desirable)
  • Previous experience working in a Finance environment (essential)
  • Ability to manage competing demands, adaptable, hands-on, and detail-oriented (essential)
  • Effective and knowledgeable communicator, able to relate to both internal and external staff, suppliers, and stakeholders (essential)
  • Previous experience and understanding of Subcontractor Accounts/Accounts payable (desirable)
  • Construction and contract knowledge and background (desirable)
  • Strong technical skills, including Excel (essential)
