Mechanical Designer - Inventor

This role offers a dynamic work environment with the flexibility of working remotely for most of the week, requiring just one day per week in any of the client offices located in Warrington, Preston, or Sellafield. This arrangement provides the perfect balance between professional engagement and personal convenience.


The position calls for a talented designer proficient in Inventor and Autodesk/AutoCAD. However, candidates with experience in SolidWorks, SolidEdge, or CATIA are also encouraged to apply. This role is not industry-restrictive; professionals from sectors such as pneumatics, automotive, and others are welcome, provided they possess the capability to obtain necessary security clearance.


Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with a team of experts on innovative nuclear projects.

- Utilise design software to create detailed and precise project plans.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies.


Essential Skills and Experience:

- Proficiency in Inventor and Autodesk/AutoCAD, or equivalent software such as SolidWorks, SolidEdge, or CATIA.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Eligibility to obtain security clearance.
