After rapid growth, they are now looking for a Process Technologist to join the Technical team. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth transition of product concepts to launch, ensuring the technical, quality and legal standards are achieved and maximising profitability. You will challenge current factory processes, and look for improvements, efficiencies and value engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with the NPD process to challenge and guide as required

• Attend hand-over meetings from NPD and review content of data

• Undertake trials in line with Customer requirements and as instructed by Line Management

• Collect data relevant to the formulation of the products and raise issues of concern with the wider teams

• Collect samples for the approval process shelf life, micro, nutritional brand bank as required

• Plan and organise resources to achieve the day-to-day delivery of trials etc., in-line with project timescales

• Working with NPD and operations, establish appropriate quality attributes for work in progress material, assembly and finished product taking into account operational capabilities

• Coordinate pre-production and launch preparation

• Contribute to post launch evaluation of process in conjunction with NPD to ensure process established at launch is still valid for full scale production and implement improvements as necessary

• HACCP team member

• QAS and build sheet generation

• To be responsible for product quality and food safety in the trial process

• To ensure that specifications are in place, accessible and understood

• To ensure that standards of workmanship meet company/customer expectations


Skills and Experience:

• The ability to liaise and communicate positively with the site operational teams, support services and external customers

• Planning and organisational skills

• Influencing skills

• Computer literacy

• Numeracy

• Written and spoken English

• Knowledge of products and manufacturing process

• Meat science/technology; strong knowledge base
