We currently have a fully remote senior mechanical design engineer role for a client of ours. They are a fairly new company going into the 3rd year of business and looking to turnover 3 million pounds.


You will be working alongside 5 other senior designs on exciting projects.


You must have 6+ years of design experience


Role Overview:


As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company. Your primary responsibility will be to spearhead the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical systems using your expertise in 3D CAD software, with a preference for Solidworks. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring our vision to life and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design process for mechanical systems, from concept to production.
  • Utilize your proficiency in CREO (or equivalent 3D CAD packages) to create detailed models and drawings.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and testing to validate designs and identify areas for improvement.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably in industrial settings, having experience working on machinery, conveyors, plant or large static recycling plants.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with a strong preference for CREO.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
  • A passion for innovation and a drive to push the boundaries of what's possible.
