Your new role
Your new role will involve overseeing the design and implementation of production processes, ensuring material flow, quality management, and cost analysis are optimised. You will be responsible for evaluating manufacturing processes based on quality criteria such as efficiency and speed, studying production and machine requirements, and developing effective automated and manual systems. Additionally, you will design and install equipment, organise and manage manufacturing workflows and resources, and integrate disparate systems. Your role will also include optimising facility layouts, resolving production issues, reducing costs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Upgrading systems and processes with new technology will be a key part of your responsibilities.
What you'll need to succeed
What you’ll need to succeed is a strong background in manufacturing engineering, with proven experience in evaluating and improving production processes. You should have excellent analytical skills to understand data and draw meaningful conclusions. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, quality engineers, and production personnel. The ability to take initiative and lead without needing to be prompted is crucial. Experience in training staff in new and existing processes and collaborating with customers to ensure up-to-date drawings and BOMs are in place will be highly valued.
