Fundraising Officer

Part-time – 4 days

Hybrid working – 2 days in office, 2 remote

Salary - £28,000 (Full time equivalent)


We are looking to grow our Fundraising Team to support the delivery of our UK’s strategy and income targets. You will help raise voluntary income through University, Challenge Events, Trusts and Companies and be the first point of contact for fundraisers.

We work with government, professional bodies, healthcare professionals and corporates towards our vision and to help improve the lives of the millions of people with allergic disease. It is estimated that 41 million people in the UK live with allergic disease. But there remains a huge gap in healthcare services for those affected by this disease of the immune system. Our aim is to raise the profile of allergy at all levels, with a vision for everyone affected by allergy to receive the best possible care and support.


As a Fundraising Officer, you will:


  • Work collaboratively with the Fundraising Team in the implementation of the fundraising strategy
  • Maintain accuracy of donor records and work in accordance to GDPR
  • Support community fundraising events
  • Ensure appropriate systems and procedures are in place to manage fundraising campaigns and donor contact effectively
  • Keep records of fundraising activities and money raised, and ensure that all money is accounted for, and reported on accurately, in collaboration with Finance.
  • To research and approach local companies with a fundraising plan and to provide stewardship for the relationships
  • To contribute and oversee all fundraising content on Social Media in collaboration with the Communications Team


To be successful in this role you will:


  • Have previous fundraising experience with a demonstrable track record in successful income generation
  • Have experience of high quality research to efficiently identify funding opportunities and sources
  • Be positive, a proactive communicator and able to engage funders
  • Have an understanding of how to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of funded projects.
