Take part in a team of specialist childcare care lawyers within a shared legal services between multiple London local authorities and help with matters relating to children’s care.


Your new role

As a Childcare Lawyer, you will conduct a wide variety of legal work relevant to childcare matters, including handling your own caseload and potentially being involved in the advocacy procedures as well as collaborating with the team on general legal childcare matters. The initial duration of the assignment is 3 months, with a high likelihood of extension.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified as a lawyer
  • Working experience in childcare matters
  • Able to hit the ground running with no supervision
  • Previous experience of local authorities work (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge of English law, local government law, equalities law, and data protection (desirable)


A DBS check, political restriction, and the right to work in the UK are needed for this role.
