As the Director of Bioinformatics you will be responsible for leading a team of bioinformatic scientists working closely with R&D and operations to drive the business forward.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Your duties as the Director of Bioinformatics will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:


1. As the Director of Bioinformatics you will be leading a team of talented Bioinformatics scientists, software developers and pipeline developers


2. The Director of Bioinformatics will be expected to bridge the domains of translational cancer research, pharmaceutical development, and software engineering providing leadership and clarity of communication to support a multidisciplinary team.


3. You will provide a strategic technical leadership direction for bioinformatics, data analysis and AI ML and data product development activities


4. This is a senior role where you can make a real difference and you must be able to use and implement innovative strategies to lead the department into the future.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:


To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Director of Bioinformatics we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:


1. Relevant PHD and subsequent work experience in a leadership role within bioinformatics


2. Proven leadership experience of managing a team as well as hands on technical knowledge of bioinformatics


3. A working knowledge and practical experience with regulatory requirements for both software development and product submission via FDA etc
