Our client have been producing confectionary in the UK for over a century at their site based in Uttoxeter. With investment and growth we’re excited to offer an unparalleled opportunity for a visionary Chief Engineer to become an integral part of their senior leadership team.

As the Chief Engineer, you’ll not only ensure our machinery is performing optimally through meticulous planned preventive maintenance but also pave the way for ground-breaking projects that elevate our plant to new heights.

• Strategically contribute to business direction focusing on engineering prowess
• Deliver complex capital projects with precision and effectiveness

Preferred Requirements:

• Contribute actively to the strategic direction, enhancing project delivery and engineering operations.
• Own and advance the engineering agenda, aligning it with site objectives for optimal outcomes.
• Instil lean manufacturing and continuous improvement ethos across the site.
• Manage budgets meticulously, driving efficiency and cost reduction.
• Foster relationships, especially during annual negotiations, maintaining industrial harmony.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in FMCG manufacturing, with a preference for food manufacturing.
• Proven excellence in project management and team development within blue-chip organisations.
• Graduate-calibre qualification in an engineering discipline, complemented by a successful track record in engineering management roles, ideally at a Chief Engineer level.

• Up to £85,000 DOE
