What You'll be doing...

  • Engage with Clients: Be the frontline of support, handling 1st and 2nd line support calls via telephone, email, and instant messaging. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
  • Onsite Support: Occasionally visit client sites for full-day support and project work, ensuring seamless operations and addressing complex issues.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Investigate a broad range of IT issues, from hardware and software to networking, and determine appropriate actions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Infrastructure support helpdesk team, sharing knowledge and tackling complex issues together.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of all installed hardware and software for accurate configuration management.
  • Coaching & Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to colleagues, helping them grow and develop within the team.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Ensure the client's core infrastructure is monitored and maintained, covering servers, networks, firewalls, routers, switches, storage, and telecoms.
  • Technical Reviews: Conduct regular systems reviews and health checks to maintain optimal technology performance.


What We’re Looking For...

Experience: 2-4 years’ strong infrastructure experience, ideally within an IT reseller environment.


Technical Skills:

  • Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online and Azure Active Directory.
  • Server administration (Server 2016 and upwards), DHCP, DNS, Group Policy.
  • Virtual machine management in Azure.
  • VoIP Technology.
  • Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Desktop support (Office suite, anti-virus).
  • Networking principles: Subnetting, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN, Wireless connections.
  • Certifications: 1-2+ Microsoft Certifications or commitment to achieve them within 6 months.


Desirable Skills:

  • Firewall administration (preferably Watchguard).
  • Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Backup technologies (Nable, Cove, Carbonite, Veeam).
  • N-Able remote monitoring.
  • Microsoft Teams as a VoIP service.


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task.
  • Positive, proactive attitude towards self-development.
