The Opportunity

Finatal is collaborating with an international Professional Services and Consultancy business in the Financial Services sector. This private-equity-backed company, generating over £35 million in revenue, offers significant exposure to the Management Team and board-level reporting. With an impressive client base and extensive cross-selling growth potential, the role provides a comprehensive scope covering financial management reporting, analysis, accounting, banking, and tax responsibilities. The Group Financial Controller will report to the CFO in this role.


The Responsibilities

• Responsible for all internal and external financial reporting requirements, and financial controls in the business.

• Produce the monthly management accounts and supporting schedules, including running the monthly consolidation. Continually improves the close process in an effort to reduce the time to close.

• Carry out day to day finance and bookkeeping requirements and maintain accounting records (supported by the accounts assistant) for the group companies in the UK, US, and Singapore.

• Ensure financial systems (NAV) are operating efficiently and accurately and as intended.

• Provide finance business partnering support to the Management team and the wider business.

• Support the Compliance Officer in all aspects of FCA compliance and reporting, under guidance from CFO and external advisors.

• Manage the collation, analysis and reporting of time usage data, and ensure the coordination with billings to clients.

• Manage all tax submissions, working together with UK, US and Singapore tax advisor.

• Manage the collation, preparation and reporting of information required in all matters connected with payroll and pension contributions and be the principal contact for payroll and pension service providers.

• Support the financial and management data analysis required in connection with any initiatives. Manage ad hoc projects as identified by the CFO and board of directors.

• Be the primary contact person for the auditors, and prepare all necessary reports in preparation of interim and annual audits. Provide all necessary data and information necessary in the preparation of the annual financial statements.


The Requirements

• Accounting qualification required

• Creative and proactive approach to management reporting and financial analysis

• Experience of working and taking administrative responsibility in a professional services environment.

• Experience in liaising with the Board of Directors.

• Accustomed to dealing with banks

• ERP system is Microsoft NAV

• Familiarity with a PE environment would be beneficial
