About the role:

Our client is looking to grow their UK branch and has exciting opportunities for a Senior Project Planner to join their team, working on a variety of high-tech building design and construction projects.


What we're looking for:

Are you an experienced Senior Project Planner with expertise in main contracting construction? Do you excel at leading project control processes and delivering results under pressure? Are you an expert within P6?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present detailed schedules and status reports to wider teams, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
  • Utilise project control systems such as Primavera P6, and other tools to deliver best-in-class project solutions.
  • Provide project control services, including the establishment of systems, planning controls, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting via dashboards.
  • Manage schedules and earned value management to ensure project timelines and financials are on track.
  • Build tender schedules for substation projects by interpreting drawings and client information, understanding construction sequences, and collaborating with design teams.
  • Conduct impact analysis of delays and change events, implementing agreed Compensation Events.
  • Support risk management processes and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Deliver leadership and training to team members, resolving complex project control challenges.
  • Ensure understanding of relevant industry regulations, including CDM, and maintain high compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of direct project planning and controls experience.
  • Proven expertise in project control systems such as Primavera P6 (Expert Level) and Power BI (Professional Level).
  • Oracle Primavera Cloud experience is highly desirable.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to assess the financial impact of site-based activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with the project team and clients.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, working independently while maintaining excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
