If you currently work in financial services, you’ll already be aware of the high demand for financial advisers, and the great opportunities this career path can offer. Or, if you come from a different industry, the Financial Adviser School is committed to making it easy for you to start in this fantastic, growing sector.

  • I’m looking to switch industries, or I am returning to work
  • I have financial services experience already, or I’m a graduate
  • I’m hard working and driven, with an excellent work ethic
  • I have good attention to detail, strong maths skills, and can learn to analyse financial information
  • I am trustworthy and feel that I could manage money in line with the appropriate rules and regulations
  • I’m experienced in MS Office and have worked with data management systems
  • I’m ethically minded and want to do the best by customers
  • I have great communication skills and enjoy building lasting relationships



With the Academy, you receive:


  • Opportunities to become either employed or self-employed, thanks to our relationships with thousands of financial advice businesses around the country.
  • Fully paid for access to an expert tutor and online curriculum to achieve the Level 4 Qualification either DipFA® with the LIBF or DipFS with the CII as well as the combined DipFA® and CeMAP® Programmes.
  • Potential to join an advice firm in a support role while qualifying.
  • Potential to join a firm in a self-employed adviser role once qualified.

  • Generating new client opportunities
  • Ensuring clients make wise and profitable decisions to meet their financial goals
  • Preparing sound financial plans to ensure clients meet their targets
  • Advising clients on current financial issues and make recommendations
  • Generating new business and build introducer relationships
  • Customising financial plans according to clients’ changing needs
  • Building strong relationships to retain existing clients
  • Maintaining and updating knowledge of regulations, practices, and financial products
