Key Purpose:

This role provides business analysis and technical support to enhance the Finance function. The primary purpose is to support the delivery of the Finance Improvement strategy through system enhancements to improve finance operations.


Structure and Reporting Relationship:

  • Reports to the Head of Finance Transformation Strategy within the Finance Department.
  • Collaborates closely with the Finance System Team, Technology Team, and various stakeholders across Finance and other departments.
  • This is a remote role with occasional travel to company offices as required.


Job Dimensions:

  • No direct reports.
  • Key stakeholders include the FP&A Director, FP&A Centre of Excellence Manager, Group Finance Controller, Director of Shared Services, Finance Business Partners, Director of Business Solutions, and Head of Business Solutions.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance Transformation Strategy to deliver the Finance Improvement Programme.
  • Document technical and non-technical aspects of the SAP BPC solution.
  • Perform SAP BPC Test system refreshes.
  • Support technical aspects of BPC system upgrades.
  • Integrate new systems and applications with SAP BPC.
  • Ensure BPC compliance with company IT policies.
  • Implement new features in SAP BPC to enhance FP&A efficiency.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Maintain the “single source of truth” and ensure finance data integrity.
  • Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure hardware compatibility with SAP BPC.
  • Identify opportunities to reuse existing data transfer patterns.
  • Execute data migration technical tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Data and Analytics team on transferring finance data to their reporting solutions.
  • Train team members and share knowledge on the above tasks.


Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and system integrations, such as SSIS packages.
  • Proficiency in using SAP GUI and SAP Business Warehouse.
  • Knowledge of finance data security.
  • Ability to optimize system functionality using technical diagnostics.
  • Ability to keep up with product enhancements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to articulate complex technical problems in business language.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Reliable and conscientious, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Over 5 years of experience as an SAP BPC Consultant in Finance working with ERP systems.
  • Understanding of finance processes related to P2P, R2R, and O2C.
  • Experience working in an Agile project environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within a remote team.
