MacGregor Black are partnering with a Global Consumer Goods Business on the search for a Supply Chain Finance Director. This is a permanent role based in London.
As the Supply Chain Finance Director, you will lead the finance function for our global supply chain operations, managing a team of regional financial heads and reporting directly to the Global CFO. You will play a crucial role in shaping and executing financial strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency and drive cost transformation. This role provides an exciting opportunity to influence key financial decisions, streamline processes, and support our ambitious growth plans through operational excellence and strategic insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supply chain financial operations for a network of manufacturing sites, ensuring alignment with global financial objectives.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee month-end closing processes, including variance analysis and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review weekly forecasts and performance metrics, ensuring they provide actionable insights.
- Drive automation and standardisation of financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Evaluate and redesign financial processes to align with industry best practices and implement cost transformation initiatives.
- Provide in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational planning.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models and projections.
- Act as a Financial Business Partner to key areas of the business including Manufacturing, Procurement, and Transformation, providing financial insights and support to drive operational success.
- Lead and mentor a team of regional financial heads, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Set clear objectives and KPIs for direct reports, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Global CFO, contributing to the development of long-term financial strategies.
- Identify and address financial and operational challenges with innovative solutions.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- At least 10 years of financial management experience within a global supply chain or manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
- Advanced analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with a focus on financial process transformation and cost efficiency.
- Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Proven experience in process automation and standardisation.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
