The Editor-in-Chief will lead the content output for an ambitious Esports brand. This is a new role for a platform with huge growth plans. The Editor-in-Chief will be a self-starter, passionate about Esports with a can do attitude and experience running content operations. You’ll own and run the content calendar and help build the overall strategy with the Head of Esports. Taking daily responsibility for the production of quality, engaging editorial, video and social content that grows audiences and builds a community,

as well as building and leading a network of content creators and overseeing the output from agencies.


Responsibilities:

- Take responsibility for daily multi-media content output across editorial, video and audio.

- Be the final arbiter on quality, ensuring everything published meets the highest standards.

- Ideate and execute new content initiatives to grow fandom and community.

- Develop and manage a freelance network of content creators setting KPIs on output and performance.

- Manage and help to set deliverables from agencies.

- Own the content calendar and manage staffing and resources around events.

- Take ownership of meeting content performance targets.

- Develop relationships and content opportunities with event organisers, publishers, teams and players.



Requirements:

- 5+ years experience in content production, journalism, marketing, social or related roles in Esports.

- Demonstrable knowledge and relationships across the Esports ecosystem.

- Experience managing a team, freelancers and agencies.

- Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously in a fast paced dynamic environment.

- A self-starter, focused on execution who finds solutions.
