They specialise in designing and manufacturing cutting-edge machinery, providing top-tier solutions to a diverse range of industries. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, this company is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of engineering innovation.
Your new role
Your new role as a Mechanical Design Engineer will involve developing new designs from initial concept to implementation and improving existing designs. You will collaborate closely with the sales team to visit customer sites and confirm equipment requirements. Your role will also include implementing and maintaining Lean systems for the production process, working closely with the production team during manufacturing, and creating SOPs and production tutorials. You will document designs with solid part models, assemblies, and detailed drawings in Autodesk Inventor, verify designs using traditional analytical methods and dynamic and finite element analysis software, and assess and implement continuous improvements to the production process. Additionally, you will create and maintain complete machine product structures, including bills of materials, models and options, and service parts information, and advise sales partners on after-sales service and maintenance training.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Proficiency with solid modelling (Autodesk Inventor preferred) and PC skills, including Excel and Word, is required. You should have the ability to follow sequenced work associated with complex design tasks and demonstrate technical leadership within a team. The role requires someone who can effectively lead project teams and utilise resources to produce optimal results. A basic understanding across multiple areas of engineering, with advanced understanding in a specific area such as Mechanical Design, Hydraulic Systems, or Electrical Systems, is necessary. Experience applying engineering principles to solve complex problems independently and leading projects, including developing project schedules and executing plans, is crucial. You should also have experience of effectively prioritising, assigning, and overseeing delegated projects within an engineering team.
What you'll get in return
What you’ll get in return is the opportunity to work with a dynamic and forward-thinking company that values innovation and continuous improvement. You will be part of a supportive team environment where your contributions are recognised and valued. The company offers competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
