Job Overview

Full Management Accountant responsibility for a large operating company in the Unicat group, including overseeing accounting, preparation of robust and insightful management accounting reports and analyses, operation of a sound controls environment and performing budgeting and forecasting activity.


Duties:

  • Prepare accurate and timely management accounts
  • Develop and improve reporting timeframes
  • Monthly P&L and balance sheet reviews, with variance and trend analysis
  • Sales and margin reporting by value stream
  • Accrual and prepayment preparation, along with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Finance representative at stock counts
  • Finance business partnering on budgets and projects
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register, and CAPEX reporting
  • Liaising with external auditors and other stakeholders
  • Reviewing stock and WIP reporting
  • KPI reporting and development.
  • Development of accounting processes, including improvements, and documentation
  • VAT returns, Office of National Statistics, and other statutory reporting



Skills required:

  • Experience producing monthly management accounts, within reporting deadlines
  • Good understanding of IFRS reporting
  • Well organised, with attention to detail and ability to work in a timely manner
  • Experience of a manufacturing environment desirable
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a team, and good communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • FP&A experience desirable
  • Looking for development, and comfortable with a high growth environment
  • Would suit a qualified accountant or part qualified accountant with experience in a similar role.
