Private Equity Operations Manager


Opportunity for a proven manager to lead the Transaction Data Management team of a well established Private Equity House during a period of maternity leave


We are seeking individuals with proven exposure to Private Equity Transactions - new deals, booking of complex transactions, managing queries around transaction structures - as well as experience managing a team


Key Responsibilities


  • Day to day management for some of the Transaction Management team and processes. Meeting daily targets in a controlled and efficient model.
  • Develop personal technical skills to become “subject matter expert” and develop the team’s knowledge and understanding.
  • Managing the objectives & development of a team of est. 6 staff. Support the team through changes being implemented. Implement training plan and maintain training matrix.
  • Enable the team to develop and enhance daily processing of all transactions and setups.
  • Project manage changes being implemented & provide reporting as required.
  • Active day-to-day management of the company’s main Vendor. Act as lead for weekly joint service meetings.
  • Analysis on vendor metrics & delivery of information to head of department.
  • Monitoring team objectives and deliverables to drive consistent improvement.


Knowledge and Experience Required


  • Operations / Middle Office Management experience a requirement.
  • Experience in transaction processing.
  • Experience of onboarding new clients and investment vehicles.
  • Experience within Private Equity beneficial, but wider Investment Management Operations professionals will be considered
  • The ability to lay out processes, controls & procedures in simple, clear formats including data flows, controls matrices, etc.
  • Very good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience of leading a busy team, working to tight deadlines & an understanding of the importance of metrics to manage operations.
