Our practice values our patients and our focus is on providing an outstanding service. We’re committed to the success of our business and seek an enthusiastic receptionist with a “get it done” attitude, one who is willing to come in early, or stay late as needed with the team.

The position for front of house receptionist is a full time permanent position working Monday-Friday 43 hours including two later evenings.


Job Description

· You will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day running of reception

· Patient relationship management-offering all visitors a warm welcome

· Explaining and offering treatment plans

· Presentation of financial plans

· Cashing up and reconciliation

· Maintaining multiple diaries

· Producing weekly reports

· A clear knowledge of our practice policies and complaint handling

· Able to understand and explain treatment to patients

· Understand the importance of being ‘the face of the practice’ and ensuring reception is clean and presentable

· Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) to patients and the team

· Managing laboratory work

· Experience of reception duties Word, Excel and email

Here at Dorchester Orthodontic Clinic we are centrally located for various amenities,with two large car parks near by and easy access from both train and bus routes.

Lunch hour can be sat relaxing with the staff or outside we have the Borough Gardens for a walk or sit in the sunshine and we are a 5 minute walk from the town centre.

Our working day is 08:30-17:30 with two late sessions finishing at 19:00.

We have a 1 hour lunchbreak and (almost always) time for a cuppa in the morning and afternoon.

The salary is starting from £26,000 depending on experience.

We like to celebrate our staff birthdays and we usually have a celebratory lunch together and a paid day off when convenient to the practice.
