eCommerce Assistant Manager

The eCommerce Assistant Manager is a passionate and customer-centric individual who supports the eCommerce Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the eCommerce channel and enhancing personal experiences across our product categories, including Photo, Sport Optics, Smart Projection, Watches, and Leica Classic. This role is crucial for building strong customer relationships and driving sales growth.
In this position, you will focus on nurturing customer connections while being sales-driven and target-oriented. Your efforts will centre on creating meaningful interactions that foster customer loyalty and satisfaction, all while actively contributing to meeting and exceeding sales goals. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have a strong passion for sales and customer success.
Key responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence:
- Engage, develop, and maintain key relationships with customers through Clienteling, ensuring prompt communication across all touchpoints to foster loyalty and satisfaction.
- Lead the team by example by conducting one-to-one sessions and consultations, ensuring they are executed effectively and that follow-ups are completed in a timely manner.
- Take the initiative to identify and propose actions to enhance the customer experience.
eCommerce Management:
- Assist the eCommerce Manager with daily website performance, supporting the achievement of sales targets and KPIs by maximizing sales opportunities and continuously monitoring relevant metrics.
- Oversee the fulfilment of orders and test drives, ensuring processes are followed by the team members for a seamless customer experience.
- Ensure adherence to all systems and sales procedures, including stock movements, invoicing, and returns via SAP, Shopware, and Pimcore.
- Support stock management tasks, including conducting stock takes and liaising with the Sales Desk team for stock orders.
- Maintain stockroom standards and ensure inventory and security procedures are followed to prevent stock loss.
- Represent the eCommerce Manager in meetings and prepare trade reports as required.
- Attend trade shows and marketing/retail events to represent eCommerce as required.
- Collaborate on Marketing and CRM initiatives to ensure alignment across strategies.
- Support an omnichannel approach by collaborating with retail teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience across all channels.
Content Management:
- Take ownership of creating and updating content pages, including landing pages and event pages, ensuring timely uploads of new products, assets, and other content to the website.
- Review translations for product descriptions, content pages, and press releases.
- Develop an understanding of product knowledge, competitor offerings, and market trends to recommend improvements for the Online Store experience.
- Collaborate across departments to deliver the highest possible on-site experience, continuously monitoring Online Store standards for accuracy.

- Be an ambassador. Demonstrate flexibility, willingness, and enthusiasm while communicating positively about the Leica brand at all times.
Additional Information: This job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change. The post holder will be expected to undertake any reasonable duties as directed by the line manager. Including the ability to work occasional Saturdays and bank holidays If needed.
