PURPOSE OF THE PURPOSE


As a key member of the wider IT Training team, reporting to the IT Training Manager, you will play a vital role in advancing our strategic objectives by designing, developing, and delivering a diverse range of in-house IT training solutions.


Your responsibilities will include supporting cyclical training initiatives, as well as managing the creation of bespoke training projects tailored to the specific needs of both legal and non-legal teams. Your work will help improve the knowledge and skill sets of our staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to excel in their roles.


This position requires flexibility, as you may occasionally need to work from any of our UK and European offices to meet service demands.


THE TEAM


Our IT Training Team is a key resource supporting nearly 3,000 employees globally. As our firm continues to grow and innovate, we are looking for an additional IT Trainer to join our dynamic, customer-focused team.


In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the high standards of training across a range of essential, commonly used programs, our proprietary in-house applications, and project-specific solutions. You will play a critical role in supporting the business, ensuring our people are proficient and confident in the technologies they use daily.

WHAT TO EXEPCT IN THIS ROLE


-The following list of duties is not exhaustive but gives a flavour of the duties the IT Trainer undertakes:

-Work with the IT Training Manager to deliver the IT Training Strategy.

-Deliver training on commonly used programs such as Microsoft Office along with specific training on all in-house applications.

-Develop and maintain course materials, training resources such as videos, hand-outs, manuals and exercises using both eLearning and online resources.

-End to end project support for all IT Training requirements.

-Support, mentor and coach learners using various learning technologies, providing feedback in a supportive and constructive manner.

-Maintain appropriate records of learner development and resource allocation.

-Work with the Service team to capture training issues and produce knowledge for the customers.

-Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of training programmes and learning outcomes.

-Travel to and deliver training at all UK and European offices, as required.


YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERISE


Any successful applicant will need the following skills and competencies:

-IT or Teaching/Training qualification such as PTLLS, CompTIA CTT, TAP, CIPD or Microsoft Certified Trainer.

-Microsoft Certified Training Accreditation or other vendor certifications such as ECDL to an advanced level.

-Experience of designing and delivering training, including induction and one to one, within a professional services environment.

-Experience of learning platforms & technologies such as but not limited to: Articulate 360, Adobe Premier Pro, and Workday

-Experience of delivering training as part of project rollouts (using both waterfall and agile methodologies) and ideally being a Training Lead on projects.

-Experience with MS Office applications, SharePoint, and Azure.

-Experience of working in a fast-paced professional environment, analysing training needs and creating & driving learning initiatives in large organisations.

-Knowledge & experience of software as a solution (SaaS) &/or AI

-Ability to identify, plan, design and develop training. 

-Ability to work with an innovative and flexible mind-set championing new ideas and delivery styles.

-Ability to combine technology, storytelling, and use of media with learning design, to create meaningful engagement & growth

-Ability to deliver training and explanations/solutions in a confident and professional manner to Partners and staff of all levels.

-Ability to inspire and motivate learners of varying learning styles and abilities.

-Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

-Passionate about customers and learning; continually seeking ways to help individuals learn & develop in their own way

-Work closely with a variety of stakeholders across the Firm to plan, create & deliver training programs

-Help transform the training space and assist in the development of digital learning content

-High standard of interpersonal skills to gain credibility and maintain positive relationships with staff, Partners and external parties.

-Excellent written and spoken communication skills with an ability to communicate business and technical information to groups with a range of learning abilities.
