Widen The Net is a recruitment partner agency to Snap and we are hiring for their contract roles globally.
Initially 4 months full time contract until the end of 2024, 5 days on site based in Abingdon (OX14), likely to extend afterwards. Please note that this role requires wearing a full cleanroom suit and working primarily within a cleanroom environment.
Snap is looking to build next generation of Spectacles, AR glasses that bring augmented reality to life. Snap Lab is the hub for hardware products, featuring a world-class research and development team. They are at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of camera technology, specifically in overlaying computing on the real world.
They are looking for a Fab Operator/Assembly Technician to join their production team. You will process materials according to the production plan and quality standards, operate both automated and manual production equipment, and perform periodic quality checks. Work primarily in a cleanroom environment, adhering to strict Health and Safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Process materials according to the production plan and quality standards, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Operate automated and manual production equipment
- Prepare materials and tooling as required
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment, processes, and products.
- Identify and highlight non-compliant parts or materials
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a semiconductor or consumer electronics cleanroom environment.
- Excellent manual dexterity, capable of handling very small parts with tweezers and other instruments
Contract is inside IR35, initially 4 months till the end of 2024, likely to extend afterwards. 5 days on site in Abingdon (OX14). Offer £144 per day.
