We are building the most user friendly and intuitive Transport Management System (TMS) on the market that automates administrative processes and optimizes planning. To achieve our mission and support our growth in the Scotland region we’re looking for a Business Development Manager.


What you’ll be doing:

✅ Contribute to the growth of Qargo.

✅ Pursue new business opportunities and own the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing.

✅ Prospect for new customers via cold calling, email campaigns, networking, attending fairs, doing face to face meetings,…

✅ Work with HubSpot and Gong.

✅ Cultivate strong relationships with sector related companies to drive cross sales and increase brand awareness.

✅ Think outside the box and initiate new ideas on ways to shorten the sales cycle, drive ambitious sales growth to meet or exceed annual targets, improve company brand and reputation.

✅ Develop an understanding of client’s business, customer profile and business objectives, competitors and sales.

✅ You will work closely with your team members and colleagues from other teams in the UK, the Netherlands and Belgium, albeit mainly digitally, since you'll work remotely most of the time.


Your profile:

✅ Proven track record in the transport industry, preferably in business development or operational management functions.

✅ Personality keywords: Customer minded / Sales driven / Energetic / Entrepreneurial / Persistent.

✅ Interested in technology, experience with TMS (or SAAS) is a big plus.

✅ International mindset and willingness to travel.

✅ Triggered by the challenge of working in a startup and entering into a whole new market.

✅ Due to the collaborative nature of our sales team, a win-as-a-team mentality is a must.

✅ You are fluent in English (native speaking level).

✅ You are a go-getter and not scared to join a rocketship in a high pace environment with ambitious targets.

✅ Strong interpersonal skills capable of networking both internally and externally fostering long-lasting relationships for the business.
