We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager to join our client AUS Ltd on a brand-new project, overseeing and managing DNO (Distribution Network Operator) power-related infrastructure contracts, installing specialist steel pole supports to the wood pole networks ranging from LV up to EHV structures.
The crux of this role is to keep the delivery on track from a practical perspective ensuring smooth project delivery. You will work closely with field teams to keep the project moving forwards, managing Surveyors, Installers, and Project Planners to meet the necessary targets. Liaison with the client will also be a key component of your role, ensuring that client expectations are met, and communication channels remain open throughout.
As a key player in the organisation, you’ll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of projects, from initial planning stages through to execution and completion. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
In this role, you will lead and motivate external teams, while coordinating closely with internal departments, external contractors, and key stakeholders. Your ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and schedules will ensure that resources are effectively allocated and that project milestones are met.
You’ll manage project budgets, implement cost control measures to ensure financial objectives are achieved. Additionally, you will provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress, challenges, and key developments.
Risk management will also be a core component of your responsibilities, as you’ll be expected to identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project timelines and outcomes. Furthermore, your expertise will be critical in advising on bid levels, program strategies, commercial agreements, and future projects.
All of this will be underpinned by working closely and cohesively with the HSE team with safety at the forefront of every action.
You’ll be tasked with growing and developing a large field-based team and as such the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership experience and have a strong background in project management within the energy or utility sector, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex DNO power-related contracts. You should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, along with a sharp focus on delivering high-quality results. If you are ready to take on a challenging role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact, we would love to hear from you.
Apply now and play a vital role in shaping the future of energy infrastructure.
